Hi

I'm using the ReportWriter and Designer to create a PDF report from our Redmine database. All is working well until I output a record set row with Wiki formatting.

e.g. | Name | Number |
     | Dave | 012345 |

I've tried using a PlaceHolder and generating a Table2 on the LaidOut event which works great but the record detail area does not expand to contain the whole table and overwrites the next record OR if I create the PlaceHolder with enough height then I have white gaps in my report.

Is there anyway to make PlaceHolder have a variable height like RecordBox or a way to output PageElements to RecordBox?

I have seen elsewhere in the form that the Generator is recommended, however I really need no technical people to be able to use Designer to create new report formats - the Designer app was the main feature that drove the purchase.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Dave

PS. The more I use this toolkit the more impressed I am with it!

Hello Dave,

In order to add page elements to the report you will have to use the Placeholder. The Placeholder is not expandable so the behavior you are seeing with overlapping with next record when you have more data is desired. You may have to set sufficient height for the placeholder when adding the placeholder in designer.

We will also check with our developers to see if we are going to add this support in a future version.
