Combobox background color is not applying

   Combobox background color is displaying light blue by default when we open the generated PDF even though we set another background color

We tested this on our end and the behavior you are seeing is related to the default appearance stream used by the Readers/Viewers through which you are opening the PDF.

Also, we created a PDF by adding a ComboBox using Acrobat Professional tool and are seeing similar behavior.
