Hello,
Please clarify how NoSplitZone works in PDF designer. Need to keep header and variable length content (RecordArea) together.
Thanks

Hi,

No Split Zones are a defined section of a Report (they can only be used in the Detail section of a Report) where elements contained in a section are not split. The No Split Zone only affects a Report when the AutoSplit property on the Report’s Detail section is set to True. Please refer to the documentation on No Split Zone here.

Please note that this can only be used in the Detail section of the Report and not in Headers and Footers.

Thanks,

Hello,
This just repeats existing documentation. I was looking for more details. For example, I could not "add" anything to the zone. It is not clear what does it mean "association" . Kindly please expand. Thanks.

Hi,

The No Split Zone region is used to keep required elements together. The elements which come under this region will not split and added always together.

Association conditions are based on the layout element positions within the No Split Zone.

Full Association: Layout element is within the No Split zone region. This element will not split at all.

Top Association: Element's top falls in the No Split Zone area. For example, No split zone starts at Y =100 and of height 50. A layout element with Y =145 and height of 50. Here the top part of the Layout element is in the No split zone, but bottom of the element is not in the no split zone region.

Bottom Association: A bottom of the layout element will be in the no split zone region. For example: No split zone starts at Y =100 and of height 50. A layout element with Y =75 and height of 50. Here the bottom part of the Layout element is in the No split zone, but the top of the element is not in the no split zone region.

No Association: Layout element is either completely below or above no split zone region.

Thanks,
