When we tried to run the script (ASP) page that create PDF file, the error message:
This implementation is not part of the Windows Platform FIPS validated cryptographic algorithms.
on line 8 ...
line 8 is where the license of dynamicPDF.

we install the dynamicPDF.dll, dpasm.dll, dynamicpdf.dat, dynamicPDF.tlb on system32 folder and it had been installed (regasm).

what is possible fix to this issue ?

Thanks,
Wendy

Hello Wendy,

Currently our licensing model uses the MD5 algorithm which is used in several places in our dll is not a FIPS approved algorithm so that is the obvious reason that you are getting the validation error.  We will likely be modifying our licensing algorithm to use a FIPS certified algorithm that will then allow the licensing to successfully run on any machine that has the System cryptography setting to use only a FIPS compliant algorithms.  This change will take place in our API starting in version 5.0 of our product.

There are some other features in PDF that do require the MD5 algorithm (like both 40 bit and 128 bit encryption) that will still continue to give this error if you use them.

Thanks,
