Licensed DynamicPDF Merger still output PDF pages having watermark and "Evaluating unlicensed..."

Hi,

We purchased DynamicPDF Merger v4.0 for Java. In many cases the software output fine for all merged PDF files.  However, there are some cases that all pages of the out merged PDF file contain a top line stating "Evaluating unlicensed DynamicPDF feature. Click here for details [5:4:s1]" and a watermark DP DynamicPDF at the page center.

Please help. We cannot print those documents for public use.

Hello Tan Ho,

The reason for the watermark you are getting is because you are using some features of the Professional Edition and you have the license for Standard Edition.

In order to remove the watermark you will have to make sure that you are not using any Professional Edition features or you will have to upgrade to the Professional Edition.

Please refer to the feature chart which shows the features offered by the different Editions of our product.

Please feel free to contact us and send over your current serial number to our Sales Team if you would like to upgrade to Professional Edition.

Dear support team,

I didn't really use any special or professional features.  All I do with the Dynamic PDF merger is to create a new mergedocument

MergeDocument doc = new MergeDocument();                           

and then append existing selected PDF files to it. 
The total number of pages is just 109, but the output PDF file still contains the header lines and watermarks.

Any hidden total number of pages that the merger can handle? Or any hidden limited number of PDF files can be merged?

What build of our product are you using? Please make sure that you are using the latest build of our product. You can download the latest build from our CustomerArea by logging in using your current serial number.

There is no restriction on the number pages of the PDF you are merging or on the number PDFs can be merged. You can merge any number of PDFs with any number of pages.

Can you please send over the code and some sample PDF you are using to our Support Team so that they can look into it.

The build I downloaded dated 12/6/2007 eventhough the date I downloaded was 5/28/08.

I will download again and hopefully I got a latest one.  I'll it and if the problem still happen I will send you my sample code and PDF files.

I had the same problem and I have a hint to solve it.

My company have 2 licenses, first we bought the "Standard Server License" to generate documents containing only text (type one). A couple weeks ago we bought the "Professional Server License" cause we needed to generate documents containing JPEG images (type two).

When we generate a "type two" document it shows the watermark, we have the Professional License in the right place. But, if after that, we generate a "type one" document, that doesn't show the watermark, and we generate, again, the "type two" document it works perfect.

The code generating the "type one" document have the Standard License, and the "type two" have the Professional. If I change that, and work in both with the Professional License, the watermark is shown in the "type two" documents ALWAYS.

The only way to generate the documents without the watermark is having the two licenses and following the procedure described before.

Can you please let us know the watermark numbers that appear in square brackets on top of the PDF that has the watermark? The numbers would appear as [X:X:sX].

Are you using the two licenses on separate production servers and in separate application?

Is the same production server, and same application. We have two JSP to generate different documents.

For the number give me a while cause I need to restart Tomcat to check it.

I forget it in my last post. Once I generate a document without the watermark, it works perfect (that means I don't need the procedure I'd already explain) until the next reload of Tomcat.
