DynamicPDF ReportWriter for .NET (v4) Forum

 Nov 20 2019 4:48 AM
Dear Support Team,

We are using Dynamic PDF report writer which allows user to fill the PDF form.

In our PDF form - we do have "Submit" button which will post the form data to the website URL. website saves the PDF data back to DB.

We do not have any issue with posting the form to URL while using IE browser.

But when the same feature is accessed from Chrome browser, it is not working due to security reasons.

Is there any other alternate approach we can try from our end to save the data back to DB (OR) Do you have any solution to overcome this Chrome browser issue.

Please provide your assistance to get rid of this issue in Chrome browser.

Thanking you

Hello,

You are likely seeing this behavior because of some issue with submitting the form using Chrome and it's built in PDF viewer. Also it could be a permission issue which is not allowing the form data to be submitted. There is nothing in our API is causing this behavior. Also currently there is no workaround or a way to make it work on Chrome as this issue is related to viewer plug-in associated with the Chrome browser.

Thanks,

Dear Support Team,

Do we have any component in Windows which will be suitable for filling the PDF form and submit (Report write) to Web API (OR) Web service.

If we have any components available for Windows forms we can use that as a work around to the problem what we have with Chrome browser.

Thanking you

Hello,

We do not have a Windows Form control that allows you to fill a PDF form and submit the form data to web API.

Dear Support Team,

We would like to know is there any tool available in Dynamic PDF to load the PDF template and allow user to edit the data, save the edited PDF into Local development machine.

Thanking you

Hello,

DynamicPDF Merger allows you to fill an existing PDF dynamically, by accessing the form fields using their full names.  You can fill and save the modified PDF to disk by specifying the file path. Please refer to the documentation on form filing here.

Our products don’t support the ability to load a PDF, allow the end user to edit the data and save the modified PDF back to their local system.

Thanks,
