Product Limitations

Product limitations of our Core Suite products are as follows.

DynamicPDF Generator

Memory Limitation - DynamicPDF Generator does not support creating PDF documents larger than 2GB.

DynamicPDF Merger

XFA Form Fields contained within existing PDF documents are not officially supported for merging in. We do not recommend merging in doucments with Merger that contain XFA form fields. In some cases, depending on the exact features being utilized, an XFA field may merge in successfully but we are not recommending their use.

The rights-enabled permission of an existing PDF document is not preserved after that document has been mnerged in with Merger. The rights-enabled permission acts like a digital signature and any changes to the document will invalidate it. Since the rights-enabled permission is a proprietary feature of Adobe and not part of the PDF specification, Merger is unable to revalidate it and add it back to the document.

Merger does not support merging PDF files larger than 2GB. In the same regard, output PDF documents must be below 2GB.

Merger does not support decrypting PDF documents that contain custom or unpublished algorithms (40-bit RC4 and 128-bit RC4 are fully supported).
