Hi!

I create some label with Japanese Characters on a page and out my PDF document to a file. But when I open the PDF file I saw square blocks instead of Japanese Characters.

Best regards,
Andrew.

Hello Andrew,

You can add Japanese text to PDF by using the CJK fonts, you will have to download the font pack to view the text when added in this way. You can refer to the HelloWorldLanguages example downloaded with the product download. You can also refer to the help documentation to know about the CJK fonts.

And you can use a true type or type1 font which has support for the Japanese text. Here you do not require to install the font pack. The fonts added will be subset embedded. You can refer to the help documentation on using the true type fonts.

Thanks,
ceTe Software Support Team.

Sorry, but I have one question about this subject. How I can find out that current font is supported current character or all characters of string.

Hello,

It is not possible to know whether the font you are using will support the text you are adding or not using our product. You will have to use a font which supports the text you are going to add.

Thanks,
