DynamicPDF Viewer for .NET (v1) Forum

 Jan 22 2016 6:00 PM
I have a document that contains information about multiple persons, the document consists of about 1000 pages altogether, users are displayed alphabetically in the report, is it possible that when a search is conducted by user name to take you automatically to the named searched without having to go through each page?

for example if they search for a person with a name that starts with "Z" I would like to automatically be sent to the Z"s  and not having to start searching at "A" and so on.

Thank You for your help ahead of time

Hello Abel,

When you are searching for a specific term in the PDF, the search function will need to look at all pages to determine the occurrence of that term. In your case, if the search term exists only in the last page of the 1000 page document, the search function still needs to look at the first 999 pages to determine if that search term is present or not. It is not possible to automatically send the user to the location of a search term without first searching the document pages.

This question regarding DynamicPDF Viewer for .NET was incorrectly posted in the forum for DynamicPDF Generator for .NET and has been moved to the appropriate forum.
