The following steps and sample code illustrates adding a signature field to PDF document using DynamicPDF Core Suite.

The following steps are for creating an unsigned document that allows signing. See Digitial Signature for an example on signing a PDF.

Steps for Adding Signature Field to a PDF Document

  1. Create a Document object.
  2. Create a Page object and set the PageSize to Letter in the constructor.
  3. Create a Signature object and set the properties.
  4. Add the Signature instance to the Page instance.
  5. Add the Page instance to the Document instance.
  6. Save the PDF document.

Document document = new Document();
Page page = new Page(PageSize.Letter);
            
Signature signature = new Signature("MySigField", 10, 10, 300, 100);
OpenTypeFont font  = new OpenTypeFont("fontname");
signature.Font = font;
